The Sasiwaan Immersion School in Mt. Pleasant is not only preserving the Anishnabee language, it’s also inspiring the next generation of Saginaw Chippewa Indian tribal members. It provides the tribes youngest generation with a solid foundation of the Anishnabee language and a connection to their culture. It also gives families an opportunity to share in the learning process.
