I'm Frank Murphy, our 40th year of academic competition with high schools from all over the viewing area, competing for the Frank Miller Memorial Trophy and a cash prize that you'll hear about coming up at halftime.
Today's first round game is between West Ridge High School of Oakville and Science Hill High School of Johnson City, both in northeast Tennessee, where we've got a lot of viewers and a lot of schools participating.
We're happy that you guys are here both Science Hill and West Routes have put multiple teams into the tournament, so that might be why you recognize the name of the school, but are seeing new faces.
If you're just tuning in, let's say hi to the players from West Ridge, starting with Hope Green, who's a senior this year.
