As the Gateway Arch turns 50, the Museum of Westward Expansion is undergoing a high-tech makeover. The demanding job of inspecting stains on the Arch’s exterior panels. A former Rams cheerleader-turned-geologist is now cheering for girls in science. Efforts are underway to protect the abalone population. Three childhood friends in Cleveland have turned an illegal dump site into a urban garden.
