[applause] (Gracie) Here's how to play.

First, gather a group of 2 to 6 people.

You'll be playing with a deck of special SciGirls cards.

Each card has a color and a number.

You will use these cards to complete a mission.

Your mission is complete when you've built an entire Dream Team.

Shuffle and deal 3 cards to each player.

It's easier to help each other out if you play face-up.

Put the rest of the cards face-down in a deck.

Turn over the top card to create a discard pile.

The card is purple.

Izzy is wearing the most purple, so she goes first.

Let's watch the girls play.

Follow along!

Izzy can either draw a card or roll the die, but she can only do one.

This mission needs purple, red, orange, blue, and green cards.

Izzy has a red, a green, and a purple card, so she's going to roll.

She rolls a 3.

Since her red card has a 3, she can place it.

Not so fast!

Now she needs a "partner card."

Everyone takes turns looking at their cards.

Look, Helena has a card with a green 3 which matches the number Izzy rolled and is the same color as an empty spot on the mission.

Now Izzy and Helena each draw a card and Izzy's turn is done.

It's Sophie's turn.

Hm, she doesn't have any colors that match the empty spots on the mission.

She decides to draw.

Wow!

She drew a mentor card!

Mentor cards are special because they have 3 numbers, so they are easier to place and make great partner cards!

Now Sophie discards one of her cards, so she has 3 again.

It's Abby's turn.

She rolls a 5, and places her purple mentor card with the numbers 1, 3, and 5 on it.

If Abby rolled a 1 or a 3 , she could still have placed the card since it has all 3 numbers.

Uh-oh!

No one has a partner card, so Abby takes her card back.

[crowd cheering] Mission accomplished-- but the game's not over yet!

Flip the cards and take turns reading about each SciGirl.

Make sure each player gets to answer the questions!
