We use basic ingredients that allow Baren and Grace to use multiple senses.
We will break eggs, which is not only fun, but allows Baren and Grace, to enjoy the change of texture from hard and sharp, to slimy and gooey.
(egg beater buzzing) And we're beating the eggs into the batter.
To add a bit more literacy, have children use their fingers to spell letters with ingredients, like flour.

So now we put it in the oven.
Baking together, gives Baren and Grace a chance to develop their communication skills.
That promotes working in teams and improved literacy too.
