Settlement of Grand Coulee Dam

In the 1940s, the U.S. government, admitting that the tribes had been underpaid for the cessation of their land and rivers, allowed them to sue the U.S. government. A settlement was reached in the case of Grand Coulee and the tribes now receive a portion of the revenue from the dam.
