Church volunteers teach refugee women to sew in an outreach program called STITCH.
Volunteers from an outreach program called STITCH teach sewing to women for the Kentucky Refugee Ministries. Supplies are all donated. They teach by demonstrating, as most of the refugees don’t speak English. In the past four years, they have had approximately 80 women go through the program. They have come from Somalia, Sudan, Nepal, Cuba, Kenya, Iraq, and the Congo.
