Roger (Kent) Williams, Contemporary Art Quilts
Kent Williams is a writer and quilt artist, who is inspired by abstract lines and color. Most of his patterns have roots in modern art and design, from Japanese woodcuts and Bauhaus weavings to Op Art and the Pattern and Decoration Movement. He starts with small straight colorful pieces and manipulates them in a way that produces the look of woven textures, spirals, and other abstract designs.
