The small town of Anoka has a big history. The high school's mascot is a tornado after the tornado that ripped through and destroyed most of Anoka. It was the first city in the United States to celebrate Halloween and now it's the Halloween capital of the world. Anoka also boasts having one of the earliest female Doctors, Dr. Flora Aldrich.
