I'm Frank Murphy.
This is the high school academic tournament.
In its 41st season with teams from all over the region competing for the Frank Miller Memorial Trophy and a cash prize.
Today we have a third round game.
We were in the round of the smart 16, and it's Harding Valley Academy from West Knox County versus South Greene High School from Greenville, Tennessee.
We're delighted that all these players are here.
They had to win twice to get this far into the competition.
So let's see how we're doing by saying hi to the players from HVA, starting with Ryan Moon who's in 12th grade this year.
Ryan, welcome back.
Tell us about yourself.
Hello.
One fun fact about me is that my Hogwarts house is Ravenclaw rave.
I wouldn't have picked that.
I thought everybody was Gryffindor because of Harry Potter.
I didn't know you're a Ravenclaw, Apparently I which one is that?
That's the.
It's the.
Honestly, I have no idea.
Oh, okay.
And I've seen all the movies.
I just I just can't name a Ravenclaw off the top of my head.
All right, let's say hi to Brock.
Can answer.
Hey, Brock.
Welcome back.
Tell us about you.
Hello.
I my Hogwarts house actually is Gryffindor.
Oh, okay.
So can you name one of the other ones that he just said?
Ravenclaw.
Yeah.
I mean, the students from that one.
No, they're from the movies.
Yeah, sure.
I think your name is like Luna.
Okay.
All right.
Good.
So close.
That's funny, because Ryan's last name is moon.
Oh.
Interesting one, not modern Italian.
Very well done.
And you're in 12th grade this year.
Okay?
Yes, sir.
It's a great, team captain, is Zeno Hudson.
Zeno.
Welcome back.
Good to see you wearing your Scholar's Bowl shirt again.
Appreciate that.
A different one, actually, than last time you were here.
And you're an 11th grade team captain.
Means you're going to answer bonuses or defer by name to a teammate.
What about yourself?
Hi.
I'm actually also a raven cloth.
Oh, okay.
So what does that mean?
Raven cloth, like, supposed to be the intelligent.
Oh, okay.
Well, that's.
I'm glad we had.
I now know that.
Well, fantastic.
We're delighted to have you.
