A bath!
Nope.
Nope.
I will not do it.
Nope not gonna happen.
Anything but that!
Daisy: Oh, Hal.
A photograph captures a moment in time for all eternity, don't you want to look your best for all eternity?
Hal: Not if it means me getting in a bath!
(sound effect) Ewe!
Squeeks: But you need to get clean, man!
You stink!
Hal: These are my natural musks!
Hal: Ooh boy!
Musky!
Nature Cat: Come on, friend, you need a bath!
Hal: Oh no!
I do not do baths!
Let go of me!
Daisy: Come on, Hal!
Squeeks: Wrong way, Hal!
Squeeks: The bath is this way!
Hal: I'm going that way!
Hal: Phew.
Nature Cat: When you do a roll, you gotta pay the toll, Hal!
You need to get clean!
Nature Cat: Hrr!
Hrr!
Woaah!
Nature Cat: Aww!
Now I'm wet!
With water!
Drat!
Squeeks: Hal.
You gotta get in the bath.
Oh I can't breathe.
Please, you have to fix this.
If not for me, then do it for yourself!
Hal: I'm sorry!
I can't do it!
Not even for Granny Bunny!
I'll never take a bath!
Daisy: Halbert Alexander the Dog!
You come back here this instant!
Nature Cat: Onward and...
Nature Cat: ...Halward!
Daisy: Whaaaaat?!
Nature Cat: Hal, come on!
You have to take a bath!
Hal: Bawk-bawk!
I don't know this Hal: you speak of.
I mean there's no one here but us chickens, bawk-bawk!
Hal: And everyone knows chickens do not take baths, bawk-bawk-bawk, See we chickens don't take baths bawk-bawk-bawk, we make ourselves dirtier by covering ourselves in dust, bawk-bawk-bawk-bawk!
I'm a chicken!
Daisy: I don't think the chickens are just making themselves dirty.
Hal: Bawk, oh yeah, that's what we chickens do, bawk-bawk-bawk!
Love this dirt!
Nature Cat: What are these chickens doing?
Squeeks: Yeah!
Why are they covering themselves in dust?
Chickens.
Daisy: Hmm.
Don't know.
Let's observe and maybe we can figure it out.
Nature Cat: Woaah!!
Chicken: bawk-bawk!
Nature Cat: They're digging in the earth and sitting in it.
Squeeks: Okay now they're twitching and squirming in the dirt.
I can't makes heads or tails of this.
Hal: We love to be dirty, bawk-bawk!
Daisy: Now they're kicking dust on themselves!
Whaaat?
Hal: We love to be dusty too!
Bawk-bawk-bawk-bawk-bawk!
Nature Cat: Ha!
And now they're shaking the dust off.
Squeeks: Maybe Hal is right, maybe they do like to get dirty!
Chickens... Hal: Of course I'm right!
I'm a chicken!
Bawk-bawk-bawk-bawka!
Daisy: Wait a minute you guys, the chickens aren't using the dust to get dirty, they're using it to get clean!
Hal: Say what now, bawk-bawk-bawk-bawk!?
Daisy: The chickens use the dust to clean their feathers, absorb moisture and get rid of tiny bugs called mites.
It's called a dust bath!
Hal: A dust bath?!
Bawk-bawk-bawk-bawk!
Squeeks: Dust bath?
I don't know...those two words don't go together.
Daisy: Yes!
And lots of animals take dust baths.
Look!
Daisy: Elephants, bison, and other birds all take dust baths!
Hal: That's too many baths!
I'm out of here!
Bawk-bawk-bawka!
Nature Cat: Hal, come back!
You need a bath so we can take the picture!
