- That's what I do, little fella.
I circle the reef at night to make sure everything is safe and sound.
- I wonder why he didn't get scared till tonight.
- I suppose there's always a chance he's never seen me at night.
- Well, how is that possible?
You're so big.
- Well, sea urchins don't have eyes.
Instead, all around their bodies, their tube feet have light receptor cells on them.
And they use those to detect light and shadows.
- You mean their cute little tube feet aren't just used for walking around?
- Nope.
That's how Archie can see you.
- Hi, everyone.
[together] Aww.
- Since the big bubble was so bright tonight, there was enough light for Archie to see me swim by, and my big shadow must have scared him.
From now on, I'll say, "Hello there, Archie."
Then you'll know it's me.
Well, I should continue patrolling the reef.
Have a good night, kids.
[together] Oh, good night, Mayor Sting.
- Bye.
- Well... [yawns] I could certainly use some shut-eye after all that.
- Yeah.
- Wait.
Don't go.
[together] Aww.
- Still a little scared?
How about if I stay with you tonight?
- Well, I thought you didn't like the dark.
- Well I don't.
But it's not so spooky when you're with a friend.
- [laughs] Okay.
Good night.
- Good night, Dunk.
Good night, Archie.
- Yay.
Snuggle time.
[upbeat music] twang!
- Ouch.
- Sorry.
- It'’’s okay, pal.
Good night.
- Good night, Dunk.
twang!
- Ouch!
