Some kids have never been to the ocean before! Join these kids as they face their fears.
Join us as we go to the ocean for the first time with our friend from the Sanibel Sea School. In order to see all the life in the ocean, the kids participate in seining - which means dragging a big net through the water to pull up fish which are living below the surface. They all go back safe and sound, of course!

What's it like?
♪ ♪ - Hi, my name's Nicole, and I'm from the Sanibel Sea School.
How many of you are a little bit scared to get in the ocean?
So tomorrow we're gonna go out to the ocean and try to catch some different fish that live in the sea grass.
♪ ♪ I really enjoy taking these kids out to the ocean.
We take the kids seining, which is dragging large nets through the water so that we can pull up fish that are living below the surface.
We like the kids to see that the ocean is not just water, but it's full of life, absolutely full of life.
[excited chatter] - I found two fish!
- All right, let's put those guys in the ocean.
- Right now I felt so happy because I got two pufferfishes.
- We don't want to hurt any of the fish.
Some of them are just babies.
After we look at them, we pu t them all back in the ocean.
- I thought the ocean would be scary.
- But it was awesome!
