is not going to be an easy thing to see.
[all gasp] I know.
- D-D-Denny!
- Yes, it is about Denny.
It's, uh-- - Ooh, it sounds good, whatever it is.
- Not now, Denny.
And it's--waah!
Denny!
You're okay!
Oh, my little buddy is safe and sound!
- Of course.
- I'm just so happy to see you!
Unless... - What?
What happened?
- Well, what if this isn't the real Denny?
- What are you talking about?
It looks like Denny.
- Isn't this one a little, uh, bigger than Denny used to be?
- You got me there, Maury.
I did grow just a little bit, which is-- - [gasps] I knew it!
I saw Denny's empty shell sitting right where this newer, bigger Denny is standing right now.
- Oh, that?
That was just my old shell.
I have a new shell now.
- Okay, I went from confused to really confused.
Denny, you can change your shell?
- Oh, I sure can.
Maury, do you remember how I said I was feeling a little constricted this morning when you came for your cleaning?
- Uh, yeah?
- That was because I had outgrown my old shell.
- You can outgrow your shell?
- Does that mean I can outgrow my skin?
- You're fine, Dunk.
Our skin grows as we grow.
- Yeah, I wish my shell did that, but I was so tightly packed into it that when I finally shed it off, I was able to expand in size, which is why I might look a little bigger than I used to.
- But isn't your shell attached to you?
- It is, but once in a while, I need to shed my shell in a process called molting.
- Oh, molting, sure.
- That sounds like it would hurt.
Are you feeling okay, Denny?
- Thanks, Ripple, but it doesn't hurt at all.
I actually feel much better.
That old shell was way too tight, and this one fits just right.
- That's such great news, buddy.
Oh!
Did I mention I'm so happy to see you?
- You sure did.
