Porter Halyburton joined the Navy during Vietnam and he was a POW for 8 years.

Halyburton’s pilot was killed and Halyburton ejected. He was captured by North Vietnamese and placed in POW camps for nearly 8 years. Only after secret messages were released about his survival and capture, his family knew he was still alive. Halyburton speaks of the torture and survival of POW camps along with the reuniting of his family.
