Using a story cube is a great way for children to practice storytelling skills. Each player rolls the cubes and takes turns becoming the narrator. Encourage your child to move through all sections of the story from beginning to end. Even the silliest stories help develop storytelling skills.

It's a literacy game that's fun because each player becomes a narrator.
We throw the cube and create a story starting with "Once upon a time."
Using the pictures to help advance the story.
- Once upon a time, in the ocean sea.
- I encourage Lila to move through all sections of a story.
The setup, story development, and the conclusion.
A sloth was watching from a distant island.
If anyone is nervous or feels silly, I just tell them to go for it.
There are no bad interpretations the pictures, and there's no such thing as a bad story.
And even better, we all get to practice our literacy skills together.
