Washington State University graduate student Daniel Auerbach uses a drone to study salmon nests for Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. These nests can give researchers a population estimate of the salmon living in that river. xConnectNW is run by interns from The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication on the WSU campus with guidance from NWPB staff.
