Our mo'olelo is our legacy, but again, the legacy doesn't belong to Sui-Lan.

The legacy is in our ancestors that have given me the ha, the breath to be able to continue the journey and then to share that breath back into our future generations.

But we don't do this work alone.

It is community work.

When we are able to learn and co-teach with each other, we alleviate the weight of thinking we have to do all this work by ourselves.

We then begin to model for our students what it is to work as a collective and not in compartments or isolation, and they begin to understand how to work with each other.

We really do learn a lot when we communicate with our our community partners, and that's when the work really starts.
