June 20 is the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice!
I know, summer just started and now it s already half-over, we ve also got a conjunction of Venus and Pollux this week -- so I thought I d give you an excuse to stop and REALLY take in the sky.
To celebrate this 2021 Solstice: wake up and watch the sunrise.
Seriously!
Go outside before our nearest Star breaks the horizon any day this week and observe the changes to the sky as the light slowly obscures stars, and changes colors.
Later, just after sunset, look West.
You ll see Venus, near Pollux and Castor the Gemini twins!
On this longest day of the year, take some time to reflect, and enjoy the dance of our planet spinning through space.
Another Solstice gone by thank you for watching Star Gazers and keep looking up.
