SHE EMERGED VICTORIOUS IN SPECIAL ELECTION TO FILL VACANCY THROUGH THE EXPIRE UNEXPIRED TERM.
SHE WAS ALSO ELECTED TO REPRESENT THE NEW SEVENTH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT.
SHE WILL BE SWORN IN TO FI THAT TWO-YEAR TERM WITH TH REST OF THE NEW 116th CONG IN EARLY JANUARY.
HER VICTORY WAS HISTORIC.
SHE BECOMES THE FIRST WOMA ELECTED TO REPRESENT THE L VALLEY IN CONGRESS .
WE SP WITH THE CONGRESSWOMAN AND CHILDREN AND HER CONGRESSI OFFICE IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

>> SPEAKING ABOUT HER TOP PRIORITIES IN CONGRESS, SU WILD MENTIONED THAT CAMPAI- FINANCE REFORM IS AN IMPOR ISSUE FOR HER PARTY.
>> WE INTEND TO HAVE IT BE COMPREHENSIVE DEMOCRACY RE BILL WHICH WILL INCLUDE VO RIGHTS, CAMPAIGN-FINANCE R AND ETHICS IN GOVERNMENT.
THAT IS A NUMBER ONE PRIOR OF THE NEW CONGRESS, INCLU MY OWN.

I DO THINK IT IS HIGH TIME THERE IS A SUBSTANTIAL RAI THE MINIMUM WAGE.
I THINK IT IS ALSO, I MENT HEALTHCARE BEFORE, THE COS HEALTHCARE IS AN ISSUE FOR EVERYONE.
IT AFFECTS WORKING FAMILIE MOST.
THEY ARE NOT OFTEN IN A POSITION TO BE SUBSIDIZED.
YET THEY HAVE TO BEAR THE COST OF THE PREMIUMS WE AR VERY FAMILIAR WITH.
>> WE SAT DOWN WITH HER SO CLAY, A 25-YEAR-OLD LAW STUDENT, TO LEARN MORE ABO THE SKILLS HE BELIEVES HIS MOTHER HAS THAT WILL SERVE CONSTITUENTS WELL.

SHE MENTIONED THE EXTRAORD SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY SH FELT.
IT WASN'T SOMETHING THAT W ALTOGETHER SURPRISING FOR I HAD OBVIOUSLY SEEN THAT THE COURSE OF HER CAREER A ATTORNEY.
SEEING HELP HER FAMILY SHE ABOUT THAT SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY THAT WE VOT INVESTED IN HER, TO ME, RE DEMONSTRATES THAT SHE WILL CARRY OUT HER DUTIES AS CONGRESSWOMAN FOR THE SEVE DISTRICT.
>> WILD, A SELF-DESCRIBED BRAK, REFLECTED ON THE FAT DESPITE THE WORDS HER FATH MIGHT HAVE SHARED WITH HER >> HE WOULD SAY, BE TRUE T YOURSELF.
