Squeeks: So, Hal, this is the spot where you saw the little snakes heading upstream?
Huh?
Hal: Yep.
But they're hard to see so you'll have to watch suuuper closely.
Nature Cat: Wait, yikes here comes something.
Is it the s-s-snake?!
Nature Cat: Ah!
Haha!
You're not a snake.
Turtle: Obviously, Nature Cat.
Squeeks: Hey-o, Lorraine!
What's happenin!
Turtle: Hey, Squeeks.
Just hunting for a snack.
You know, the ushe.
Hal: Little snakey creatures, it's me, Hal!
Where are you?
Are you in there little snakey creatures?
Nature Cat: I'm sure Hal just imagined the swimming snakes.
That Hal, he has such a vivid imagination.
Squeeks: Psst.
Hey guys, look over there.
Hal: Hey, there they are.
Nature Cat: Those?
But they don't look nearly as scary as that thing from Squeeks' picture.
Hal: Excuse me, pardon me, teeny tiny snake.
Hi, it's me, Hal.
Fancy seeing you here again.
Hal: Hey, we're trying to find this creature.
And we thought, because you're swimming snakes too, you might know where we'd find it.
Hal: Okay, good chat.
Yeah, they're not talking.
Daisy: Hmm...We haven't seen these cuties come up for air!
I think I know why!
Look!
Those are gills.
That means they can breathe underwater.
That is very cool, and very strange.
Hal: That is strange, Daisy.
That is so, so strange.
But just a quick little question here on the strange topic.
Why is that strange exactly?
Daisy: Because snakes are reptiles and don't have gills; snakes breathe through lungs like we do.
Squeeks: And you know what else is weird?
Those look like fins!
Snakes don't have fins.
What's going on?
Squeeks: They're getting away!
Follow those snakes!
Daisy: These sure are unusual animals.
How they can swim against the current like that is amazing.
Squeeks: Where'd they go?
Nature Cat: Aha!
They're over yonder.
Hal: Where are they?
Daisy: Oh!
There they are!
Daisy: Look, they're headed towards a waterfall.
Nature Cat: Looks like the party's over, little snakes.
Hal: Eh, the party looks like it's still raging, Nature Cat.
Squeeks: Woo ho ho!!
Daisy: Whaaaaaat?!
Hal: Oh boy, what do we do now?
Nature Cat: Hold on and brace yourselves, gang!
Nature Cat: Tally ho!
♪ Daisy: They stopped at the pond?
Squeeks: There's something very strange going on.
I mean you got true love and snakes with gills and fins, spending all of this time in water?
It's all very fishy.
Daisy: Fishy.
Squeeks, you may be on to something.
I don't think what we're dealing with here are snakes.
Nature Cat: Ha ha!
Right!
And I'm not Nature Cat!
Ha ha ha!
Daisy: No, Seriously.
Think about it, they have gills and fins, which fish have and snakes don't.
Nature Cat: So exactly what are you saying?
Daisy: That I think they're fish!
Daisy: Man oh man!
It's true!
Fish that looks like a snake.
Look!
Daisy: These here are called "Elvers."
Nature Cat: Elvers?
What praytell are those?
Daisy: Hmm... An An elver is a young eel and eels live in water and are fish.
It says American eels come from the Sargasso Sea.
That's in the Atlantic Ocean.
Huh.
