Hi, I'm Janellyn.

And today I'm with Candee Williams.

- Candy.

Tell me, where are you and what do you do?

- I'm in Howell, Michigan.

And I'm at Armour Protective Packaging, where I work as a technical sales representative.

Armor Protective Packaging produces vapor corrosion inhibitors and works with any company that manufacturers a metal part.

And this could be a company in the automotive industry, in the aerospace industry, agricultural, you name it.

Rust is a very costly issue to my customers.

And so it's very important to help educate and train our customers, in different methods to rust prevention.

- What's a vapor corrosion inhibitor and how do they work?

- They are a class of chemical compounds, that are put into different types of packaging.

And then that packaging material is meant to protect a metal part and prevent it from rusting, during shipping and storage.

- How is STEM incorporated in your job.

- Although I have a business degree, I have to have a thorough understanding of all STEM related topics.

So science is in the use of our BCI nano technology.

And then I also use math to calculate packaging dimensions.

And then I have to have a good understanding of the manufacturing process, so that I can better relate to the customer's problems and then provide them a solution for their rust issues.

- What's the most rewarding part of your job?

- The most rewarding part of my job, is that I get to help people solve problems.

And then I get to train and educate them, on use of our products that are safe for people to use and environmentally friendly.

- My knowledge of metal protection was a little rusty, but thanks to Candee Williams, I know all about corrosion prevention.
