Ferlauto Center for Complex Pediatric Care is a really unique model for taking care of medically complex children.

Unfortunately, our clinic burned down.

We're all very grateful that no one was hurt, that it happened in the middle of the night.

Because things definitely could have been much worse.

But unfortunately, our clinic was completely destroyed.

Right after the fire, telehealth was, instrumental.

we were in a new clinic space.

And that clinic space, unfortunately, only had four exam rooms.

So for us to be able to see the same volume of patients, we had to triage some of our patients to virtual visits as to avoid, canceling and rescheduling appointments that had otherwise been on the books for months ahead of time.

Our families that had appointments shortly after the fire were incredibly grateful.

We've become a very big resource and advocacy for our patients and families.

And that's something that they've leaned on for us for quite some time.

And any thought that we wouldn't be able to continue caring for their child was devastating for them.

But seeing that we were able to make it seamless was a huge reassurance.
