Rachleff sees many reasons why unions are declining. For one, the media and how they portray "typical" jobs of Americans. When in reality, only a small percentage of those jobs make up the entire job force. Many occupations and people are left out of the picture. Seasonal ups and downs, massive technological changes, immigrant workers, these are all reasons for the decline of unions.
