The winter hexagon is upon us again!
or is it a football??
... or Link s Rupees??
Whatever you want to call it -- this asterism is glittering high in the sky this time of year!
It encompasses six constellations, and eight of the brightest stars visible from Earth!
It s awesome, in the true sense of the word.
To find it, look Southeast after 8pm -- start with the brightest star in the sky: Sirius the Dog Star.
Find it using Orion s three belt stars, they point right at it.
This is the bottom of the Rupee!
From here: go clockwise and you ll find the Little Dog Star -- Procyon, then up to Castor and Pollux the twin stars of Gemini, and to the other diamond-point Capella!
Then it s back down and around through Aldebaran, the eye of Taurus the Bull, to blue supergiant and Orion s Left foot, Rigel and back to Sirius.
How beautiful is that?!
