Hi, Kevin.
Can you show me how to make lemonade?
- Sure, I'd love to.
I kind of knew you were coming, so I got all this stuff ready.
So, first we're going to cut lemons, and this is probably something your parents should do, since you gotta use a knife to do this.
So, next, I'm going to take this lemon over into our juicer over here.
And we're just going to put it in there.
This is the fun part; you get to smash it down.
Let it sit there for a second until all the juice drains out.
Do you want to do one?
You know, before they made these things, you had to do this by hand.
- That's got to be hard!
- Yeah!
- So, we want to put one cup of sugar and then this is one quart of water -- really hot water.
- Why is the water so steaming hot?
- We use hot water because it dissolves all the sugar.
- Oh!
- Now, if you just want to add that into there... Now in here we have one quart so far.
So, we're going to take it to two quarts but we're going to add ice instead of water.
- That's a lot of ice!
- So now, we want to get our lemon juice... And you can stir it up with this... (ice rattling) Let me pour you a glass of lemonade here.
- That's the best lemonade I ever had.
