I mean, it keeps the flow and everybody moving along well, so I always think that's great.
But you know, just being down by the river here is always a cool spot.
(rhythmic music) - Oh, it's awesome.
I know a couple guys on the team that have taken their girlfriends here on dates and different things like that, but even for the, for the beginner or somebody that just wants to get into skating or do it for exercise or wants to try just because they've came to a game, it's, it makes, it makes it accessible for everybody.
And I think that's big.
- It's pretty cool.
I mean, especially when we get to come out here with fans and skate around and then the community gets to use it too.
And as people get, get to learn to skate out here, we get to teach 'em how to skate a little bit.
And it's a cool experience.
(ice skating) - I think it shows how big hockey is in Toledo.
I don't think anybody really understands it.
And to have all the young kids out here wanting to skate with us and, and it really shows that, that the, the game's grown a lot around here, and then the more skaters the better.
Hopefully it saves that way.
- Gotta be patient.
It's not easy.
It takes a little bit of time.
A lot of us start skating at a young age, so it looks easy to us, but it takes practice, a lot of practice.
- Take it slow, hang on to something at first.
Once you do it, you just get comfortable and, and you get more confidence as you go.
(rhythmic music) I grew up in a great hockey community and coming to Toledo, I'm just the fan base and the support that we get every week is just remarkable.
It's just a, makes it a great place to play and coach.
-In our eyes.
It is about growing the game.
Giving back to the community in any way, shape, or form that we can.
So it's been a fantastic event.
It always is.
It was awesome last year.
It seems even better this year they sold out again.
It is really fun for us to get out in the community to meet everybody while we can.
- It's cold outside and it's a sold out the event.
I mean, it's packed out here on the ribbon.
And even through the cold weather.
Everyone's having a great time.
It has been a special night.
