This is the high school academic tournament with teams from all over the region competing for the Frank Miller Memorial Trophy and the cash prize.
Now, in our 41st season, we have made it to the second round, the threshold of 32.
And today's second round game is between the tornadoes of Alcoa High School and the Red Devils of Halls High School in Knoxville.
all these players had to win their way here.
So we've got some experienced faces.

What was your platform?
Well, last year, I and another person, brought back advisory, which is like a free period for our school, and that seemed to do enough campaigning.
So you actually accomplished something?
That's that was your that was your secret to success as opposed to promising, you know, free lunch or a new soda machine that would be, you know, unrealistic.

I really just love working with the band.
