Anstace & Larry visit Carter’s Grove Plantation on the James River and tour the gardens.

The hosts tour Carter’s Grove, a plantation on the James River. Featuring a partially reconstructed 1619 village of Wolstenholme Town, a slave quarter of the 18th century, and the 1754 mansion restored to its Colonial Revival splendor of the 1930’s. The gardens included grapes for making wines and hops for making beer, while the orchards had peaches and apples for making brandy and cider.
