New Trenton police director: Task force to combat violence

Last year the city hit a grim record with 40 homicides.

Trenton is still reeling from two fatal shootings on Monday. The surge in violence comes as a new police director takes the helm. Among his first initiatives, police director Steve Wilson said creating a task force to combat violence in the city is a priority as well as putting an emphasis on community policing.
