lived in Warner for 50 years, I've been involved as, town moderator and, for 25 years.
I just retired last year and also worked on the Warner Fall Foliage Festival, which is a October event, big time event for the town of Warner.
We have 5 to 7000 people come through on Columbus Day weekend.
I've been involved in running the festival for most of the time.
I've been in there the festival is, it's an arts and crafts type fair.
We have over usually around 90 to 100 crafters that will, come and, display their wares and sell it.
It's it's a big financial event for them.
And then so over the years, we've wrapped around that amusement rides like you would see at a fair.
Chicken barbecue, lobster barbecue, oxen pulling woodsmen contests and a parade.
So that all happens Friday night, Saturday and Sunday And then Monday we clean it up.
And this is all volunteer run.
We raised the money, the profit from the festival, which can range from 10 to $25,000 a year, is then, people put in grants, requests, organizations, non-profits.
that service people in the town.
And so, money to the youth, sports money to the, snowmobile club, money to the rail club, money to the school for, things they need.
it has a good, a very loyal following of people that come So that's the festival in a nutshell.
it's part of what makes the town run and be what it is is that the community comes together
