The fire department has a long history.
It dates back to 1830.
Warner Hose Company number one was established in 1830 with 17 members.
They had a small hand pumper, and that was used for, fires that they that they could get to.
There was a second hose company, Niagara Hose Company Number two, established in 1842, which kind of did the same idea.
They were independent of one another.
That kind of is the start of the fire protection in Warner.
Warner currently has a, 1824 hand pumper that's at the at the fire station.
And then, down in the museum is a 1927 Chevrolet, pumper.
It was the chassis was purchased by the members.
The members went and put together the pump on it, which is a 250 gallon a minute pump, and then put the back body on it.
That was Warner's first motorized piece of equipment.
And the actual dedication of the museum was October the 4th of, 2008.
And then, Fire Chief Dick Brown and Dick Violette did the original ribbon cutting.
But some of the other equipment we have a ladder wagon that was bought in 1907, in a sleigh those people had.
But then they were sold to outside entities.
While once the museum came in and looked at, they were able to find it and the chief and one or the other members of the fire department actually went out to New York State, picked up the ladder wagon and the, hose, sleigh and brought it back.
And those are two of the artifacts that are on the on display.
In addition to, radios, the couple of the memorabilia were specifically the 1830 regulations for Hose Company #1.
We actually had the original that that's available.
We have a, copy of it that's on display in, within and within the museum in one of the display cases, record books, from Silver Lake hold company number one, some of the things from 9/11, we actually have a piece of glass that came from that and some of the newspaper clippings associated with that.
So all those things are on display at the museum.
Once they come in and look around and start to see what's there and and to look at some of the artifacts and to be able to look at and do the hands on with, sitting in the truck, in the engine and driving and putting the fire gear on.
They have a little different understanding of what's going on, with the fire service.
