you are a child.
Ever since I was a little kid, I have always wanted to live in Warner.
But I had no idea the treasures I would find with the people in places that live here.
I'm an oil painter who lives in the Mink Hills of Warner.
it's a beautiful, beautiful spot.
And I drive through the covered bridge and go over the Warner River every day.
So Warner has all these neat aspects the river, the covered bridges, the Mink Hills, and then, of course, Mount Kearsarge.
I moved here in the late 1980s, but I also had a long connection to Warner prior to that.
My great grandmother came up in the early 1900s And that led to my grandparents purchasing a farm up in the hills, And then my mother moved up full time in the 1970s, I did not paint at all until I moved up here.
I just think the incredible natural surroundings that I live in just is very conducive to being creative.
But I also Warner itself is a very creative community, and there's a lot of open wild land.
And I think it just feeds people's you know, their minds.
They just have the ability to be free and relaxed and create things.
I think I really started painting birds because that's what they would see every single day.
I do landscapes in this usually local, local things like that.
And then the other things that you'd see, like, you know, the bear comes around once a year to make sure you bring your bird feeder in.
And then I thought I would try to put a lot of that on canvas just to remind people what is in your backyard and how special it all is.
We are so fortunate because we have the Historical Society, and then BookEnds has a gallery that displays all local art, and they do the art shows and they have the spring and fall and Warner Fall Foliage Festival.
So as an artist or a creative person, how better can it get?
