Poirot is stung by a wasp after a garden party, and sets out to prevent a murder.
At a festive garden party with Japp and Hastings, Poirot meets John Harrison and his fiancee. When Poirot playfully reads the tea leaves in the young woman's cup, he sees something that disturbs him. On a later visit to Harrison's house, Poirot is stung by a wasp, and quickly realizes that the wasps' nest in the garden is just one of the menacing things in the young man's life.
