An intervention program is helping third, fourth & fifth graders read for the first time.

Third Grade is considered a benchmark for determining students reading ability. If a student is behind in reading by this grade, they usually fall further behind and struggle throughout school and later in the world of work. At one struggling school in St. Petersburg, the Winning Reading Boost program has been implemented to give a second chance to third, fourth and fifth graders who can’t read.
