With the retirement of longtime District Two Commissioner Jane Sauls, the seat has attracted a large number of candidates. Talking about their particular qualifications and vision for the position are: Jeffrey William Bullock, Nancy Calhoun, Howard Font, Margaret Franklin, Kirk Headley-Perdue, Manny Joanos, and T.J. Lewis. An eighth candidate, Jimbo Jackson, was unable to attend.
