LaDonna Boyd, President and CEO of R.H.
Boyd.
And we're so happy to be celebrating 130 years this year.
We were founded in 1896 by my great-great-grandfather, and he had such an entrepreneurial spirit and forethought.
And when I think about what he would say if he were alive today is that the reason that he founded the business was to give African Americans an opportunity to have their own voices heard and to give them entrepreneurial and economic leverage.
And we're still fighting many of those battles today.
So when we think of the journey over 130 years, the problems look a little different, but they're still here.
So we can see the long-term effects of what we've gone through in this country.
So it's my hope that R.H.
Boyd is able to help alleviate some of those social concerns and shift the trajectory for the future.
