At least African crested porcupine quills don't have barbs on the end like North American porcupine quills do.
Those barbs catch the skin, making it even harder for a predator to pull them out.
Okay, remind me not to stick my face in a bush-- Ow!

That makes seven.
All we need now is three more from Quillber's den.
Hopefully, he'll take us there when he's done eating.
