Oh...
I know you like them all.
Just start with your favorite.
(Laughing) Stop tickling me!
CHRIS, AVIVA, KOKI AND JIMMY: Who are you talking to?
Oh, I'’’m talking to Juice.
Oh, not another imaginary friend?
Why are you all looking at me like that?
Okay, Martin, who'’’s Juice?
Uh, Juice, my pet fruit fly.
CHRIS, AVIVA, KOKI AND JIMMY: Cool!
MARTIN: Juice has been with me a few weeks now.
Ah-ha.
Ever since he hatched out of his pupae stage.
I like your stripes!
I like your eyes!
(Buzzing) Juice, you'’’re a good flyer!
Where'’’re you going?
Oh, he eats about ten times a minute.
My guess is he'’’s heading to the mango.
Yup.
There he is.
MARTIN: Ah, he'’’s such a happy little fruit fly.
♪ (Gasping) No, he'’’s... dead.
(Crying) He was such a fun little fruit fly.
(Sobbing) I'’’m gonna miss you, Juice.
(Sniffling) Well, at least he had a happy long life.
It was actually really short.
Only five weeks.
(Beeping) But that'’’s a long life for fruit flies, right?
Well, I guess if you put it that way, yeah, he did have a long life for a fruit fly.
Fruit flies hatch out of an egg after 24 hours.
They'’’re then a larvae for four days, a pupae for another four, then a fly for about six weeks.
So, a fruit fly'’’s entire life is only 51 days.
He lived to a ripe old age for a fruit fly.
(Bird squawking) Whoa!
A scarlet macaw.
Here'’’s a bird species that lives a long time.
Parrots, like the scarlet macaw, can live to over 80 years.
Hmm...
In memory of Juice, I'’’m gonna name you Juice 2.
It'’’s good to hear macaws live for a long, long time.
At least longer than the original Juice.
I'’’m glad that you'’’ll be around for a while.
Ooh... Wow, 80 years?
That'’’s close to 100.
Does any animal live that long?
Yeah, I know where there'’’s an animal that can live to be over 100 years old.
Really?
Where?
CHRIS AND MARTIN: The Galapagos Islands!
If we want to see them before we get too old, we'’’d better get going.
