Hey, girls!
(uplifting music) - This earth, this is our home.
This is a place in which we need to be acting in a way of respect.
- [Narrator 1] Microplastic has been documented in all of the world's oceans.
It's one of the largest pollution problems that you can see.
- [Narrator 2] Herbicides are such a prevalent tool in our society right now, but what we're left with after spring is this toxic residue that's harmful to our planet, to us.
- The idea is not to make people feel bad.
The idea is to make people feel empowered.
(gentle music) - I wanna leave a legacy that gives hope for the future.
- [Narrator 3] We do the work because we know that the system is broken.
We're trying to create something new.
- [Narrator 4] There's something really deep and kind of hard to put into words about growing the same foods that your ancestors grew.
- [Narrator 5] I get so much hope and meaning and reward out of doing this work, and then getting to witness healing happen.
- [Narrator 6] My biggest motivation to continue doing this work is the love I have for the buffalo, the love I have for my people, and the love I have for the earth.
