Would you eat food that you dropped on the floor if you picked it up in less than five seconds? People call it "the five second rule" but is it true or false? To test whether the food is still safe, Science-U campers dropped different kinds of foods on different surfaces and timed each test with a stopwatch. Then they rubbed the dropped food onto a petri dish to see what grew.
