There are too many so called news orgs chasing the news.

I feel that we could only end up hearing views that the company wants us to hear. It is scarry. It makes me think of Nazi Germany and how most of the people and world did not know whatelse was going on in that country.

Melissa, OK Strongly Agree

... form of censorship and thought control ...

September 16,2003

In the long run there will be fewer choices, not more. This has the potential for a few people to control what we hear in news, opinion, politics, music, drama. It can become a form of censorship and thought control.

Matt, TN Strongly Agree

... freedom loses ...

September 16,2003

it certainly appears that big media favorably spins political positions as effectively as it lobbies the politicians that support the media agendas. its back scratching at its finest, media and politicians win dissenting opinion and freedom loses.

David, GA Strongly Agree

... Ifill left Powell unchallenged ...

September 16,2003

i just watched Gwen Ifill let Mike Powell have an unchallenged platform extolling his "expertise." Why didn't she ask him how he got his job and why does he take so many trips at the expense of big corporations? At the recent NAB convention it was a joke how much in the pocket of the giants he is. This show is just another self serving, non detailed, [rear end] kissing waste of human time. Thank God Bill Moyers is still around.

Christine, MI Strongly Agree

... U.S. media finally waking up ...

September 16,2003

Is the U.S. media finally waking up?! It is like they have been asleep, taking the "party" line and squashing any desenting opinion! Let's get back to an unbiased news program not "show"!! Thank you!

Dan Brayal, TN Agree

... too controlled ...

September 16,2003

The "news" in big organizations becomes too controlled by ratings and direction from management and owners. Journalism is less and less neutral honest for that reason.

Gary, WI Strongly Agree

... everyone a voice ...

September 16,2003

We need to structure control of media ownership to ensure a broad and fair representation that gives everyone in our society a voice.

It is absolutely indecent that we are allowing a few very rich men and their corporations to own our air waves and to fill them with their own radical political notions. Even music, try to listen to anything not in the top 40. Thank God I live in a University city and can listen to Tulane's and UNO's station as well as out very own local music station. Everything else is either canned junk or rabble rousing idiots foaming at the mouth.
