I got to play with it! Multi-touch mouse...Flash SSD...teeny...I love it. I may wait a bit, though, until SSDs get a little cheaper and a little more spacious. But the HDD version is lovely too!

Is there a need for something so thin?
Why spend 3000 bucks on a notebook that 0 upgradability...
The battery isn't even user replaceable.
And only 1 USB port

I left a comment on your hand-wringing blog advocating the Mac. Now I want to caution you. You are planning on buying a brand new first generation product. Every company, including Apple and especially Microsoft, has a hard time getting it right the first time. You are likely to have problems with the MacBook Air. You will probably get a chance to experience Apple's first rate customer and repair services. Apple products push the envelope of technology and as we know, the leader of the charge takes the arrows.

Good luck and enjoy your new Mac.
