Jennifer Lara is a high school student at Bell Gardens High School in the city of Bell Gardens, in California.  She enjoys science and wants to improve our environment.


In My Own Words

My love for science started since I was in elementary school. All the topics from science just open a great interest in me. Animals, plants, and the environment were all I wanted to learn. When people asked me, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I would always respond that I wanted to be a veterinarian, but as I learned more about science, I realized that my passion was to become a marine biologist. Science is really important to me because I have realized the impact humans have on the environment and I would like to be a person that improves the environments that animals live in so that future generations will be able to enjoy the beauty of nature.
