Remember that fuss about dental paste and anti-freeze from China?

So, what are we to think of the claim Kraft makes on its "CoolWhip Lite" label of including no trans fat in its product? (You can probably tell I am a guilty Coolwhip addict, ready to give it up if it turns out to be dangerous to my family's health.)

Is there a place on the internet where one can read the unvarnished truth about CoolWhip?

We enjoyed your program's first installment.

I'm sorry, but table sugar is sucrose, not glucose!

A haunting revelation. Ignorance isn't bliss; its destructive - but who knew? All in all, it becomes clear why we are having a health crisis in America.

The moral of the story? Don't be so quick to pop something that promises to be tasty in your mouth. What do taste buds know anyway? Read the label, and know the difference between food and fable!

I guess we could use it to stop the squeaking door hinges or just as a lubricant! Sounds like fun stuff to me. Maybe they should try a different marketing approach when nobody buys it anymore for eating! CoolWhip Lube. Does it attract or kill ants when its warmed up?

Yeh, table sugar is sucrose, a disaccharide, while glucose is a monosaccharide. I am surprised a reputable science article messed up on something so basic.

The amount of chemicals in foods we take for granted is amazing. Who would have guess - sugar, detergents, oils, water... The ethylene oxide threw me or a loop. (Amazing the difference between a precursor [digestible], and the final product [toxic].)
To quote Bugs Bunny, "Gruesome, ain't it?"
I'll share this with all the science geeks I know - in the meantime, keep up the good work.

Credit where credit is do. Many of you are probably too young to remember this but the comdedian and film maker Albert Brooks did a routine based upon the ingredients in Cool Whip nearly thirty years ago.
