PBS Expands Leadership Within Digital & Marketing and Office of the Chief Legal Officer

ARLINGTON, VA; May 23, 2022— Today, PBS announced the addition of new leadership within its Digital & Marketing and Legal departments. 


Digital & Marketing

Mike Norton has been promoted to Vice President of Cloud Services & Operations and will oversee technology, infrastructure and operations for all PBS lines of business. In this role, Norton will be responsible for ensuring that the various teams at PBS are aligned in their cloud adoption and migration efforts. Norton received a Bachelor of Science degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville. He will continue to report to Scott Nourse, Senior Vice President of Product & Innovation.

Office of the Chief Legal Officer

Talia Rosen has been promoted to serve as Vice President, Standards & Practices and Associate General Counsel. In this expanded role, Rosen oversees the team that is responsible for ensuring that PBS content complies with applicable editorial and funding standards. She is also responsible for oversight of regulatory affairs, including developing PBS positions on relevant public policy matters. Rosen received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago and a Juris Doctorate from Columbia University School of Law. She will continue to report to Katherine Lauderdale, PBS Chief Legal Officer.


PBS is also welcoming Walter Stillwell to the Office of the Chief Legal Officer to serve as Vice President & Associate General Counsel. In this role, Stillwell will head the team dedicated to handling major transactions and legal issues related to the digital distribution of PBS content services on third-party platforms, including privacy and rights administration issues. He comes to PBS from National Public Radio (NPR) where he served as Assistant General Counsel, Distribution Relations. Stillwell received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University and a Juris Doctorate from Tulane University Law School. He will begin this role today and he will report directly to Katherine Lauderdale, PBS Chief Legal Officer.
