ARLINGTON, VA; August 18, 2026 - Today, PBS announced the promotion of new leadership for the organization’s revamped Technology department.
Hanif Khalid has been named Vice President of Data Products & Platforms. He will lead PBS Technology's newly unified data management team, responsible for data privacy; metadata governance and management; and data engineering and services. Until now, these functions operated separately across the organization. Bringing them together under one leader creates a more consistent approach to protecting, governing, and using our data.
Matt Norton is taking on a new role at PBS: Vice President and Distinguished Engineer. Norton will work closely with PBS's Chief Technology Officer to execute our technology strategy, leading the system design and architecture decisions that shape how our platforms, applications, and data connect. Norton remains hands-on, focused on the highest-value, highest-impact projects across PBS Technology.
