ARLINGTON, VA; March 31, 2021— PBS today announced the promotion of David Field to serve as Vice President of Content Operations. In this role, he will provide operational leadership and strategic direction for PBS’s Media Operations and Engineering services. Field will report to Rhonda Holt, Senior Vice President of Information Technology.

As Vice President of Content Operations, Field will work in collaboration with IT leadership in the design, development, implementation, maintenance and analysis of the key media management and delivery systems that are essential to receiving, editing, processing and distributing PBS content. Field will also play a critical role in merging the Media Operations Center and Content Operations into a single, integrated function and developing a sustainable operations strategy and planning process.

I’m delighted to have David join our team, and I look forward to partnering closely with him as we merge content and media operations at PBS. He is a talented, capable and collaborative leader who has all of the skills necessary to help guide PBS through the evolving technology landscape,” said Holt.

Field previously served as Senior Director of Content Packaging for PBS, where he led the Traffic, Post-Production and Media Logistics teams. Prior to joining PBS, he worked for Henninger Media Services and The Family Channel.

“It’s a privilege to be a part of an organization with such a deep legacy of service. I am honored to work alongside my colleagues as we ensure that PBS is not just another channel or platform, but a trusted and easily accessible resource for the American public,” said Field.
