On the passing of longtime SESAME STREET actor, Emilio Delgado, PBS President and CEO Paula Kerger offered the following statement:


“Through his groundbreaking work as Luis on SESAME STREET for more than 44 years, Emilio Delgado left an enduring mark on generations of children and families across the country. His humor, lessons on love, family, and friendship, and wonderful musical talent engaged PBS audiences through his career on SESAME STREET, in the longest role for a Mexican American actor in a TV series. His impact will resound for generations to come. He will be deeply missed.”
