Senate votes to acquit Trump for role in Capitol attack

The Senate has voted to acquit former President Donald Trump on a charge of inciting the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. The vote was 57-43, but a conviction in the Senate requires a two-thirds majority, or 67 votes.
